I spent many summers with both sets of grandparents digging through old photographs for family stories. My first short story (it’s micro-fiction now), I wrote at age 7 and have been writing ever since.
As a genealogical researcher, I know what it’s like to deep dive into a family’s history and learn about the both the good and the bad. We all have skeletons in our closets. How surprised was I to meet mine at sixteen !
At twelve, I discovered a story an aunt I barely knew had begun and for the next few years, I worked on that story seeking its answers. As an adult, that first family story culminated in a visit to our once ancestral home. However, it wasn’t until I was in my 40s that I finally sat down to write my own story.
Memories and mistakes. Trials and tribulations. Our stories mold and shape us. They help us remember what was so we can improve and learn for what will be. It’s my goal to help you tell your story, in your words, that you can be proud to share with family or with the world.
Though I’m based in the US, I’m no stranger to working virtually and have worked with people around the globe. We all have something to learn and in stories, we remember. Have a story to tell ? Let’s get started....
